Two years ago we went to Kiev, to participate at Detali Zvuku festival. If I'm not mistaken, exactly during this trip Vadim first met Roman Bliznetsov and Konstantin Timoshenko - electronica accordionists from AkkordIon band. Soon after, they invited Vadim to perform at Replica festival in Kazakhstan. AkkordIon is doing very unusual music - while Roman plays harmonica, Konstantin manipulates various electronic sounds and devices. The result of their collaboration is an outstanding mixture of techno, experimental ambient, field recordings and accordion music. We released their first eponymous mini-album in 2007.

Recently we were celebrating some sort of top-40.org back-catalog anniversary with a Final compilation, and when we asked AkkordIon to participate, they sent us the whole package of 10 songs to pick one. And now we decided to release them all.

Let me be honest - I didn't fell in love with a previous AkkordIon album. Vadim has much more penetrating gaze, that's why he hooked guys from the beginning, but for me it takes much longer to become totally obsessed with their music, and only after this second album, " e2-e4", I became a real fan. It sounds different - not so brutal and raw, and there's plenty space for both gentle, cozy glitch-ambient with meditating harmonica passages and more rhythmic stuff.

This album is very much summer. Of course, you can listen it whenever and you want, but it really goes well during these first summer days. That's why we decided to release " e2-e4" now. And we pushed our schedule forward. And you can put your hands on it. Please, enjoy.
